? Liraglutide is a weight loss medication, similar to a natural hormone GLP-1, which regulates appetite.
? It helps you feel full and eat less, supporting weight loss.
? Used alongside diet & exercise for adults (18+ years old) who are:
✔ Obese (BMI ≥30 kg/m²)
✔ Overweight (BMI 27-30 kg/m²) with weight-related conditions (e.g., diabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal lipids, or sleep apnea).
⛔ You are allergic to Liraglutide or any of its ingredients.
⚠ Talk to your doctor before use if you:
? Have severe heart failure.
? Are 75 years or older.
? Have kidney disease or are on dialysis.
? Have liver problems.
? Have stomach issues (e.g., gastroparesis) or inflammatory bowel disease.
? Have diabetes – do not use as an insulin substitute.
? Have or had pancreatitis.
? Experience severe upper abdominal pain, especially on the right side.
? Have thyroid disease or nodules.
? Notice irregular or fast heartbeat during treatment.
⚠ Serious Reactions (Seek medical help immediately):
? Severe allergic reaction (breathing problems, swelling of face/throat, rapid heartbeat).
? Pancreatitis (severe stomach pain spreading to the back, nausea, vomiting).
✔ Very Common Side Effects:
? Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation (usually improve over time).
? Tell your doctor if you take:
✔ Sulfonylureas (e.g., Glimepiride, Glibenclamide) or Insulin – may cause low blood sugar.
✔ Warfarin & other anticoagulants – may require frequent blood tests.
? Starting Dose: 0.6 mg once daily for at least 1 week.
⬆ Increase dose by 0.6 mg weekly until reaching 3.0 mg/day in week 5.
⚠ Do not exceed 3.0 mg/day unless advised by your doctor.
? Regular doctor evaluations are necessary.
✔ Keep out of children's reach.
✔ Before first use: Store in the fridge (2-8°C) – DO NOT FREEZE.
✔ After first use: Store for 1 month at below 30°C or in the fridge.
✔ Protect from light – keep the pen cap on.
✔ Do not use if the solution is cloudy or discolored.
✔ Dispose of properly – ask your pharmacist how to discard unused medicine.
