?️ What is Formet XR and what is it used for?

Formet XR contains the active ingredient Metformin Hydrochloride and belongs to a group of medicines called biguanides, used for treating diabetes.
It is used to treat type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes) when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.

? Instructions for Use

Take with meals to reduce the gastrointestinal side effects that may occur in the first few weeks of treatment.

Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

? Do not take Formet XR if you:

• Are allergic to Metformin or any of the other ingredients in this medicine
• Have diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious complication of uncontrolled diabetes with ketones in the blood)
• Have long-term kidney or liver problems
• Have severe complications from diabetes, or other serious conditions such as rapid weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or dehydration
• Have a severe infection or recent injury
• Have a history of heart disease, heart attack, or severe circulation or breathing problems
• Drink alcohol excessively
• Are under 18 years of age
