Dulaglutide is used to lower blood sugar (glucose) levels in adults with type 2 diabetes and may also help in preventing heart disease.

? Do not use Dulaglutide if

• You are allergic to Dulaglutide or any of its ingredients.

⚠️ Precautions

Talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before using Dulaglutide if:

• You are undergoing dialysis (this medication is not recommended).
• You have type 1 diabetes (where your body does not produce insulin), as it may not be suitable for you.
• You have diabetic ketoacidosis.
• You have severe problems with digestion or if food stays in your stomach longer than usual (including gastroparesis).
• You have a history of pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) causing severe stomach and back pain.
• You are taking sulfonylureas or insulin for diabetes, as this may cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Your doctor may need to adjust your other medications to reduce this risk.
• Dulaglutide is not a substitute for insulin and should not be used as a replacement.

⚠️ Potential Side Effects

• Allergic reaction: Stop using the product and seek medical attention immediately if you experience:
  • Tightness in the throat or swelling in the eyes, face, lips, or tongue.
  • Difficulty breathing or feeling faint.
  • Hives or itching on the face or body.

? Other Medicines and Dulaglutide

• Dulaglutide may slow stomach emptying, which can affect the absorption of other medications. Be sure to inform your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse if you are using or have recently used any other medicines.

? How to Use Dulaglutide

• Your doctor may recommend a dose of 0.75 mg once a week for managing your diabetes, depending on your individual needs or if you are using Dulaglutide alone.
• When used with other diabetes medications, your doctor may recommend a dose of 1.5 mg once a week.
• If blood sugar levels are not well-controlled, your doctor may increase the dose to 3 mg once a week.
• If more control is needed, the dose may be increased to 4.5 mg once a week.
• Each pen contains one weekly dose of Dulaglutide.
• You can use your pen at any time of the day, with or without food.
• Try to use it on the same day each week, if possible.

? How to Store Dulaglutide

• Store in the refrigerator (2°C - 8°C).
• Do not freeze the medication.
• Keep it in its original packaging to protect it from light.
• It can be taken out of the refrigerator for up to 14 days at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Do not use if the pen is damaged or the medication is cloudy, discolored, or contains particles.
