? Description
Insulin Detemir is a long-acting insulin used to reduce high blood sugar levels in adults, adolescents, and children aged 1 year and above with diabetes.
It works by stimulating insulin secretion and reducing glucagon secretion, which helps improve diabetes management. Insulin Detemir can be used in combination with rapid-acting insulin associated with meals and for Type 2 diabetes treatment along with oral diabetes medications or other injectable diabetes products.
? Indications
- Used to reduce blood sugar levels in patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
- It is an option for diabetes treatment in combination with a healthy diet and regular physical activity.
? How to Use
- Inject once daily, preferably at the same time every day.
- Administer the injection subcutaneously (under the skin) in specific areas (abdomen, upper arm, or thigh).
- Avoid intravenous or intramuscular injection.
- Change the injection site within the same area to reduce the risk of lumps or skin indentations.

? Storage
- Before opening: Store the insulin pen in the refrigerator (between 2 to 8°C), away from the cooling element. Do not freeze.
- During use or when carrying as a spare: You may store the insulin pen at temperatures below 30°C or in the refrigerator (2 to 8°C) for up to 4 weeks.
- Do not freeze the pen.
- Keep the pen cap on to protect from light.
