? The maximum recommended daily dose for adults is 2000 mg. Glacera XR is generally administered once a day with the evening meal.
? The dosage of Glacera XR should start low, with gradual titration to minimize gastrointestinal side effects and allow determination of the minimum effective dose to control blood sugar levels.
? Risk of Lactic Acidosis: Metformin hydrochloride may cause rare but serious side effects called lactic acidosis, especially if kidney function is impaired, or if you have uncontrolled diabetes, serious infections, liver problems, or dehydration.
? Risk of Hypoglycemia: If you are taking metformin with other antidiabetic medications, it may lead to low blood sugar levels.
