? USES:
Pioglitazone / Glimepiride is used along with a diet and exercise plan to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

⚠️ NOTE: This medication may also be used for other purposes. Consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist if you have any questions.

? DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Initial dose: Pioglitazone 30 mg / Glimepiride 2 mg or 4 mg, taken once daily with the first meal of the day.

• Maintenance dose: Adjusted gradually based on therapeutic response and tolerability.

• Maximum Daily Dose: Adjust the dose according to effectiveness and tolerance.

⚠️ WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

• Do not take this medication if you have:

  • Allergies to Pioglitazone / Glimepiride or sulfa drugs.
  • Severe or advanced heart failure.
  • Active bladder cancer.
  • Diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Consult your doctor if you have:

  • Congestive heart failure or heart disease.
  • Fluid retention.
  • Liver or kidney disease.
  • Diabetic eye problems.
  • A history of heart attack or stroke.

? DRUG INTERACTIONS:

• Insulin.
• Strong CYP2C8 inhibitors.
• Colesevelam.
• Oral Miconazole.
• Medications that increase CYP2C8 or CYP2C9 activity, such as Rifampin.

⚠️ POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

• Common side effects may include:
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
  • Weight gain.
  • Headache.
  • Muscle pain.
  • Anxiety.
  • Depression.
  • Rapid heartbeat.
  • Nausea and diarrhea.
  • Cold-like symptoms such as nasal congestion, sinus pain, sneezing, and sore throat.

? HOW TO STORE:

• Store away from the sight and reach of children.
• Keep in a cool, dry place at room temperature between 59°F and 86°F (15°C to 30°C).
• Store tightly closed to protect from light.
