Glibenclamide / Metformin Hydrochloride 5 mg / 500 mg Tablets

Indications

? Used to lower blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent) alongside a proper diet and exercise.

Do not take if you:

? Are allergic to any of the ingredients
? Have type 1 diabetes
? Have liver or kidney problems
? Are dehydrated or have a severe infection
? Take certain medications like Bosentan or consume excessive alcohol

Precautions

? Inform your doctor if you have:

• Liver or kidney problems
• A deficiency in G6PD enzyme
• Heart problems or are about to undergo surgery
• The medication may cause low blood sugar or lactic acidosis

Drug Interactions

? Interacts with other diabetes medications, blood pressure drugs, birth control pills, antibiotics, asthma medications, and cholesterol-lowering drugs.

How to Use

? Take with food.
? Usual starting dose: 1.25 - 2.5 mg Glibenclamide and 500 - 1000 mg Metformin twice a day.
