? Indications for Use:
Diaoptim MR is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and weight loss alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels.

? Dosage and Administration:

• The daily dose ranges from half a tablet to two tablets per day (30-120 mg), taken orally with food.
• The tablet must be swallowed whole without crushing or chewing.
• If a dose is missed, it should not be doubled the next day.
• The dose should be adjusted based on the patient's blood glucose response.
• Maximum daily dose: 120 mg.

⚠ Warnings and Precautions:

• Hypoglycemia: This medication should be taken with regular meals to avoid low blood sugar, especially if meals are delayed, insufficient, or low in carbohydrates.
• Liver and kidney impairment: Patients with hepatic or renal impairment may have a higher risk of hypoglycemia, requiring caution in use.
• Poor blood sugar control: Dosage adjustments may be needed in cases of infection, trauma, surgery, or severe fever.
• Hemolytic anemia risk: Patients with G6PD deficiency may be at risk of hemolytic anemia, and alternative treatments should be considered.

? Contraindications:

• Allergy to Gliclazide or any of the tablet components.
• Type 1 diabetes mellitus.
• Diabetic ketoacidosis or diabetic coma.
• Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Concurrent treatment with Miconazole.
• Breastfeeding.
