3. Dosage and Administration ?

  • The recommended initial dose is 15 mg or 30 mg once daily.
  • If blood sugar control is not achieved, the dose may be increased by increments of 15 mg.
  • The maximum dose is 45 mg per day.
  • Take the tablets with or without food and swallow them whole with a full glass of water.
  • Take the medication at the same time each day.
  • Your doctor may recommend additional medications for diabetes to take alongside Pioglitazone.

4. Warnings and Precautions ⚠

  • Consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions, such as skin rash or difficulty breathing.
  • May cause fluid retention, which can worsen or lead to heart failure.

  • May also cause hypoglycemia, macular edema (eye swelling), and increased pregnancy risk.

  • Inform your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications, including over-the-counter drugs, herbs, vitamins, or supplements.
  • Caution is advised if you are taking gemfibrozil (for high triglycerides) or rifampin (an antibiotic).
