3. Dosage and Administration ?

• The recommended initial dose is 15 mg or 30 mg once daily.
• If blood sugar control is not achieved, the dose may be increased by increments of 15 mg.
• The maximum dose is 45 mg per day.
• Take the tablets with or without food and swallow them whole with a full glass of water.
• Take the medication at the same time each day.
• Your doctor may recommend additional medications for diabetes to take alongside Pioglitazone.

4. Warnings and Precautions ⚠

• Consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions, such as skin rash or difficulty breathing.
• May cause fluid retention, which can worsen or lead to heart failure.
• Do not use this medication if you have heart failure of class III or IV.
• Long-term use may increase the risk of bladder cancer.
• Discuss with your doctor if you have liver problems or any history of bladder cancer.
• Can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when used with insulin or other diabetes medications.
• May cause liver issues that could be serious.

5. Contraindications ?

• Do not use Pioglitazone Hydrochloride if you are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients.
• Not recommended for use in patients with heart failure of class III or IV NYHA.

• Side effects may include skin rash, itching, swelling of the feet or ankles, weight gain, difficulty breathing, liver problems like nausea, stomach pain, yellowing of the skin, loss of appetite, and fractures.

• Inform your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications, including over-the-counter drugs, herbs, vitamins, or supplements.
• Caution is advised if you are taking gemfibrozil (for high triglycerides) or rifampin (an antibiotic).
